I wouldn't want to live there.
We have some great neighbors with a little girl that is just a bit younger thsn Abby. They have play dates and recently they took Abby without me there for her first unsupervised play date because I had stuff to do. Tonight they needed me to watch their daughter, so naturally, I agreed to have her over for a while so they could do what they needed to. She was an angel!
The thing is, when I got the call, Abby was already in the middle of another play date. Well, that wasn't a problem, but I just had to leave a little earlier than I would have normally.
I asked the dad of the first date kids if he wanted to drop them off at my place since I was going to be tied down anyway, and then he, my husband, and the others could go out and play without worrying about the kids.
At first they all declined, but of course as soon as I got home I got the call that they would be dropping them off.
So, I'm getting to my point.
While it was a blast for me and the kids today, I can't see it being fun on a regular basis. I didn't even have time to let our dogs out, let alone get any household chores done.
So, as I was saying, I thought tonight was fun to "visit" but I wouldn't want to live there.
I am not meant to be that mom with a whole brood of kids. I am embracing these little peeks at the life I'm missing out on. They make things easier sometimes.

It Was a Nice Place to Visit, But...
